多摩モノレールの引き込み線

仕事で外出する際に、時々多摩モノレールを利用します。

今日は台風の影響でひさしぶりにまとまった雨になり、モノレールの車窓の景色も今一つですが、運転席のすぐ後ろに空席があったので、座って辺りを眺めていました。

写真の風景は、高松〜立飛間にある車両基地への引き込み線です。

列車の進行方向とは直角に付いた引き込み線にも、カーブを描いた可動式のレールが上手に移動して、モノレールを引き込むことができるようになっています。間近でこの構造を見るのは初めてだったので、とても面白かったです。

Sidetrack to a vehicle base

I sometimes use “Tama monorail” when to go out at work.

It is rain today because of the effect of the typhoon.
Sitting directly behind the driver's seat, I am looking around.

This photo is a sidetrack to a vehicle base between Tachihi station and Takamatsu station.

Monorail enters to a vehicle base by moving the movable curved rail.
It is very interesting because it is the first time for me to see this structure at a short distance.
